One of Kaizer Chiefs’ most popular and talented players is struggling mentally as a result of recent trauma and is getting professional help.
Nowadays, so much focus goes on the performance of players. How well they are playing, their stats, and their form.
However, not much attention is given to the personal difficulties players face. At the end of the day, these professionals are still human beings.
One of Amakhosi’s fan-favourites has just had to face one of the most difficult experiences anyone can go through.
CHIEFS FAN-FAVOURITE GETTING PROFESSIONAL HELP
Nkosingiphile Ngcobo is one of the most talented players at Chiefs.
Unfortunately, the Amakhosi midfielder recently lost his father. Thankfully, he has full support from Zwane and Chiefs.
Most importantly, he is seeing professionals to help him deal with the grief and trauma he is facing.
Zwane issued a key update on Ngcobo’s mental health.
“It’s been tough for the young man, very, very tough, we know the boy, where he comes from and actually these things started a long time ago,” the Amakhosi coach said at Naturena Village on Wednesday morning,” Zwane told iDiskiTimes.
For the talented midfielder, it has been a tough journey. One that has taken a toll on his career too.
“His father was sick and you could see he wasn’t himself. But we had to lift his spirits and give him a helping hand – we had to make sure that we, help him to focus and it wasn’t easy for him,” Zwane added.
ZWANE CREDITS CHIEFS STARS MENTALITY
Zwane credited Ngcobo’s mentality as he deals with his tragic loss.
“He’s a strong lad, he’s forever positive and has a strong mentality as well, so he’s going to be fine.
Zwane believes Ngcobo will be back soon. Backing his player to return to his best as he receives professional help.
“Unfortunately he ended up losing his father and right now, he’s getting professional help from the team.
And we as technical staff is also trying to help him to get back into his best and there’s no doubt he’s gonna be back very soon.
