Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter has refused to be dragged into a conversation over Lazarous Kambole’s future at the club.
Kambole is on the transfer list after a disappointing two-year stint with Chiefs in which he scored just one goal in 40 appearances.
When asked about Kambole’s status now that the transfer window closes next week, Baxter replied he’d rather talk about those who played against TS Galaxy on Sunday.
However, he stated that Kambole’s status has not altered, implying that the club is still open to bids for the Zambian striker.
Baxter also indicated that the Chiefs would evaluate their transfer deals when the market closes on August 31.
“I want to discuss the players who were on the field,” Baxter told reporters.
“You are aware of our transfer-listed players’ position. That is not going to alter overnight. The transfer window will come and go, and we may receive an offer for a player who is not on the transfer list.

“I’d rather talk about the players who really played,” Baxter remarked.
