Kaizer Chiefs‘ return to South Africa has been delayed as they are still stuck in Morocco after mechanical concerns were raised on their flight.
The CAF Champions League finalists were scheduled to arrive in the country this morning following their match against Al Ahly on Saturday.
Chiefs announced the news on their social media platforms where they promised to give an update on their situation in due course.
Amakhosi are returning home as South African heroes rather than villain after representing the country in the CAF Champions League final.
Chiefs were hammered 3-0 by defending champions Al Ahly, who are coached by none other than Pitso Mosimane.
As a result, Chiefs got the silver medals for reaching the final in addition to the R18.2 million in prize money from the CAF Champions League.
While Al Ahly, on the hand, walked away with a whopping R36.4 million for winning the coveted continental trophy.
