Tercious Malepe, who was named to coach David Notoane’s squad for the multi-coded event in Japan and is on his way to the Tokyo Olympics, is now reported to have completed his return to South Africa.

Usuthu has also offered the defender a three-year contract, according to Soccer Laduma’s sister publication Kick-Off.com. All that is left now, according to the Siya staff, is for the player to finish his medical and he will be back in the Premier Soccer League and Kaizer chiefs suffer another failed transfer at Naturena

Indications are that despite speculation Chiefs were closing in on the ex-Orlando Pirates star, the two parties were always far apart in negotiations and hence the discussions collapsed and Malepe is now headed to KwaZulu-Natal.

AmaZulu are determined to strengthen their squad for the 2021/22 season in order to compete in the CAF Champions League final later this year, but that opportunity could be taken away from them if Chiefs win next weekend.

In this year’s edition of the continental championship, Amakhosi will face Al Ahly, and if they win, they will be given automatic access to defend their title.
