The product of the Swallows Youth Academy who reached cult status at Kaizer Chiefs chose another club legend ahead of renowned footballer Doctor “16V” Khumalo who is arguably one of the greatest players who ever donned the gold and black jersey of Amakhosi.
The 38 year old Soweto born footballer revealed all of this on his official Instagram account on Monday evening just a day after the premiere of Doctor Khumalo’s 4-part weekly docu-series titled 16V Doctor Khumalo: Untold.
The Kaizer Chiefs legend who was picked by Siphiwe Tshabalala joined the club on a then record transfer fee of R45 000 from Moroka Swallows and led the Phefeni Glamour Boys to a quadruple during his debut season, according to his player profile on 𝘞𝘪𝘬𝘪𝘱𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘢.
Through his caption, the former Kaizer Chiefs jersey number 14 then revealed that this player is none other than Johannes Tshepo Molatedi as he wrote, “I have watched and played with the best. Phiri born Tshepo Molatedi”.
