Marumo Gallants head coach Dan Malesela has shared his feelings following the departure of Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo from the club.

The 27-year-old midfielder made a shock move to Orlando Pirates on the Premier Soccer League’s transfer deadline day last week.

Meanwhile, ‘Dan Dance’ recently ended a spell with Royal AM to return to Gallants who sacked him in June.

The pair worked together for quite some time during Malesela’s first stint at the club.

The former Chippa United coach said one of the reasons he rejoined Bahlabani ba Ntwa was because he’s familiar with many players at the North West-based club.

However, it should be hurting now with one of the most crucial members having left him before they even started rekindling their coach-player relationship.

But Malesela says he is happy with Ndlondlo’s ‘upgrade’ and to have contributed to his growth.

‘I’M NOT DISAPPOINTED’ – MALESELA ON NDLONDLO’S EXIT

“I’m not really disappointed. I am some one who is very realistic in that players should be allowed to grow,” Malesela told KickOff.

“We are still a relatively new club, so if there’s an opportunity for him to join a team like Orlando Pirates, then it’s growth for him.

“Obviously, what he will be earning at Pirates, he will not receive it here, even the exposure is bigger at Pirates.

“So as a coach you are happy if you are contributing to the success of a particular player.

“So I’m not so disappointed. Yes, we have to find a replacement in his position, but we’ve got players here who are willing to take over that role.

“Whatever happens at Pirates, I can’t comment, it’s up to him to adjust to his new surroundings.

“It’s up to him to grow to what his new coach demands, he is professional, and he will have to make adjustments.”
