Golden Arrows forward and Amakhosi sought-after target Pule Mmodi is still very keen on signing for Kaizer Chiefs, according to the latest reports.

According to The South African, Arrows striker, Mmodi still wants to play for Amakhosi.

Even if it doesn’t happen this transfer window, it is still the talented forwards goal.

Meaning, it is his goal to play for Chiefs and it is very likely to happen sometime soon given that both parties have a keen interest in one another.

Chiefs have been targetting Mmodi since before the transfer window opened.

Now, one of their main targets has made his intentions clear – he wants to join Amakhosi.

“In football you can never say never, and the players is still to play for Chiefs, and I think he is working towards achieving that,” the source stated on Soccer Laduma.

The 29-year-old Arrows forward has been rewarded for his fine form in the DStv Premiership.

Hugo Broos named him in his 23-man squad for Bafana Bafana’s international friendlies against Sierre Leone and Botswana.

Mmodi already has four goals and one assist in this year’s PSL.

He is a very similar forward to Ashley Du Preez who also recently earned his call up to the national side.

Championship sides need finishers capable of consistently reaching double figures every season.

Mmodi is well on his way and can certainly achieve this feat. Especially, if he is surrounded by the likes of Khama Billiat, Keagan Dolly, Du Preez and new recruit Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana.

The Arrows striker has been an Amakhosi target for several months now.

It is highly unlikely that Amakhosi will be able to complete a deal for the forward before the end of the current transfer window.

However, the reassurance of his interest will leave Amakhosi fans excited for the future.
