After Ntshangase’s contract with the club was terminated with two months left in the 2020/21 season, Amakhosi issued the following statement on Friday afternoon. “Kaizer Chiefs and Siphelele Ntshangase have agreed to split ways with immediate effect,” says the statement.

“Weeks of discussions and negotiations between the two parties led to the contract’s early termination.” Ntshangase’s exit is unsurprising since the former South Africa under-23 international only made two appearances for Amakhosi in the PSL this season.

Coach Hunt favoured players like Njabulo Blom, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, and Lebogang Manyama over him. After joining the Glamour Boys midway through the 2016/17 season from Baroka FC, Ntshangase has failed to live up to expectations. Under managers Komphela, Giovanni Solinas, and Ernst Middendorp at Chiefs, the former Black Leopards playmaker struggled to get game time.

After joining Amakhosi prior to the start of the current season, there was anticipation that Hunt would give Ntshangase a chance to secure his spot in the starting lineup. Before joining Baroka FC from Leopards in July 2016, Ntshangase was widely linked with Hunt’s former club, Bidvest Wits.

Hunt handed Ntshangase six appearances across all competitions, but the skillful player could not convince the experienced mentor that he deserves to be a regular.we now expect the midfielder sign for Sekhukhune
