Kaizer Chiefs defender Thabani Austin Dube has reportedly rejected a loan move away from the club.

Dube has been deemed surplus to requirements at Naturena by head coach Arthur Zwane.

Zwane has opted to field new signing Zitha Kwinika ahead of Dube in his starting lineup.

On the other side of the central defence Siyabonga Ngezana’s costly errors saw him lose his spot to Njabulo Ngcobo recently.

As reported by thekosibay, Dube was set to leave the Glamour Boys during the current transfer window.

Things however have taken a massive twist with Dube reportedly rejecting a loan move to Richards Bay.

The defender was recently away on international duty with Helman Mkhalele’s CHAN squad.

Bafana Bafana shockingly went down 6-1 against Angola in their two-legged CHAN Qualifier.

Austin Dube has rejected a loan move to Richards Bay according to reports.

“Dube was then presented with an option to move back to KwaZulu-Natal, but as things stand, the player has turned down that opportunity.” a SoccerLaduma report read.

“Indications are that with the transfer window set to close on September 22, anything can happen. Especially with the defender clearly out in the cold in what is a complete contrast to his debut season at the Soweto giants.”
