The agent of a Kaizer Chiefs star has accused Amakhosi for offering his client peanuts.
Amakhosi are currently in talks with some of their players over new contract as the transfer window is still wide open until 22 September.
The club’s right back Njabulo Blom is one of the players that have engaged in talks with the club over a new deal.
However the negotiations between the club and the player have reportedly hit a snag.
The player’s agent Rob Moore has explained why the negotiations between the two parties have hit a deadlock.
Moore accuses Amakhosi of offering the player peanuts on his new deal.
“I have negotiated other contracts with the same club, so I have an idea of the numbers,” said Moore in an interview on Metro FM on Wednesday.
Moore added that he has been in negotiations many times in his career and has insisted that he always make his research and that he can not make unreasonable demands.
He added that before he makes negotiations he always look at the market value, age and the position that the player plays in, and has further revealed that attackers earn more than the goalkeepers and defenders.
Moore further revealed that some of the players at Chiefs who are older than Blom earn more than the player and has insisted that some of those players are not even playing at the club and are not Bafana Bafana regulars.
He added that Amakhosi’s latest offer to Blom says the player will only earn 50% of those players who are not playing and older than him.
Moore went on to explain that what Chiefs are offering to the player is not reasonable given the fact that Blom is still young and he has achieved a lot of things at a younger age.
