Stuart Baxter has only been back at Naturena for four months but the majority of Kaizer Chiefs fans have seen enough already.

There are growing calls for Baxter to be sacked after winning just once in seven games he has been on the bench for thus far.

Baxter’s first loss in charge was against Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League final on 17 July, and since then, Chiefs have only beaten Baroka.

His tactics and team selection have come under scrutiny from the Chiefs fans, especially because the management did all they could to refresh the squad with quality players.

Amakhosi find themselves in 13th place with five points from their opening five games – and that’s their worst start compared to last season.

Last season, the club showed faith in Gavin Hunt until the now 57-year-old mentor was sacked eight months into his three-year contract with Chiefs.

But Baxter MAY NOT last that long at Chiefs if he doesn’t win games and improve the team while also continue to overlook the talent at his disposal.

In fact, Saturday, 6 November 2021 could be Baxter’s final game IF Chiefs don’t improve in the next FOUR games.

Chiefs’ next assignment is against AmaZulu while Chippa United will be waiting for them after the FIFA break in mid-October.

Baxter will then lead Chiefs against SuperSport United and Stellenbosch before the end of October 2021.

And THEN comes the Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates on 6 November, and if Chiefs fail to beat their arch-rivals on the back of possibly unimpressive results, then Baxter could be gone.

The game against Pirates would mark Baxter’s 10th in the league this season, and his possible sacking would also depend on where they would be on the PSL log.

Should Chiefs rather sack Baxter now than give him more time to possibly get it right?
