Bvuma: It’s not like Kaizer Chiefs are not working hard
Kaizer Chiefs are just five points above the relegation zone after struggling for positive results lately but their goal-minder remains positive. They are now focusing on fighting for top 8 position. The Glamour Boys goalkeeper, Bruce Bvuma has spoken about his readiness to step up, perhaps putting the Kaizer Chiefs fans at ease that there’s a goalkeeper crisis for the remaining matches.
“What I know is that good things come to those who wait. I know we are not in a good position, we are all aware of it and it is not like we are not working hard, it is not like we are not giving it our all, working to be in a better position,” Bvuma told Media.
“We are working very hard and I believe that as Kaizer Chiefs, a big team as we are, we will get positive results and make sure that we finish in a respectable position.”

Bvuma has defended their poor run of form, saying it is not like “we are not giving it our all” as they now face what could be a tough Premier Soccer League fixture against Swallows FC.

Defeats by relegation-threatened sides Chippa United and Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila as well as a draw against Bloemfontein Celtic in their last three outings, have left them in danger of the relegation zone.
But Bvuma is hopeful of a turnaround in their fortunes as Chiefs are currently placed ninth on the PSL table.
“I knew that if I can pray and wait on God, then he will answer my prayers. Here I am now playing and I am very grateful. When it comes to my readiness, I feel like I am prepared because I have been working very hard since I’ve been out of the team through the season with the goalkeeper coach (Lee Baxter) and the other goalkeepers. I believe that I am ready and every one of the goalkeepers here at the club, if they all get a chance to play, I believe that we can all perform because of the way we work. We are all ready for opportunities.”
Chiefs desperately need to win their remaining four matches to break into the Top 8 and stay there or risk and unwanted record.
“I know we are not in a good position, but it’s not like we are not working hard or giving it our all to be in a better position. We will get positive results and make sure we finish in a respectable position,” said Bvuma.
The Glamour Boys are having a poor domestic season, having fallen to 10th place on Tuesday, and Velile Mnyandu has heard that Gavin Hunt could be replaced by Baxter by Chiefs management.
