Kaizer Chiefs supporters have reached a breaking point and are planning an “organized rally” at Naturena to express their dissatisfaction with the club’s management.

After going five years without a win, Kaizer Chiefs are in the midst of potentially one of the worst periods in the club’s 50-year history. Gavin Hunt’s side is only above the relegation zone with four games remaining in the DStv Premiership, and their current situation is almost pitiful. In the MTN8, the club was embarrassed by Orlando Pirates, while Richard’s Bay knocked them out of the Nedbank Cup at the first hurdle.

It’s no secret that Kaizer Chiefs have the country’s largest fan base, which comes with a lot of pressure. For half a century, the Amakhosi have been one of the country’s biggest clubs, if not the biggest.

Naturena, on the other hand, has spiraled out of control at Kaizer Chiefs in recent years, and the once-dominant South African football club is steadily losing ground. As has been shown in recent weeks, teams fighting for survival in the league, such as Chippa United and Tshakhuma, have walked away with a full three points from the Glamour Boys without breaking a sweat, and fans have reached boiling point!

Kaizer Chiefs fans are fed up and will stage a rally to compel management to listen to their requests in the hopes of restoring the club’s glory days. The protest which was originally scheduled for 08 May by Kaizer Chiefs fans has been postponed. Amongst the topics, fans would like to address with management are the club’s transfer policy as well possible interference in on-field decisions by management.
