If recent rumors from a player agent are to be believed, Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt may be on his way out at Naturena.

Hunt’s problems at chiefs have been well known, with the team currently sitting in ninth place in the DStv premiership. The veteran coach’s job at the club is in serious jeopardy ahead of next season, with amakhosi on track to achieve their worst finish in club history.
HUNT IS SLOWLY LOSING THE CONFIDENCE OF THE CHIEFS MANAGEMENT
The strain seems to have finally taken its toll, as a Chiefs player agent claims that Hunt is on his way out. There have been many inquiries as to why the club has made no formal announcement about the 11 players whose contracts expire at the end of this season.
The agent seems to have clarified the situation, while also revealing a possible bombshell and exclusive. In an interview with Soccer-Laduma, “I’ve been told to hold off on my quest for a new club for my client, and I’m guessing that’s what others have been told as well because it doesn’t appear that the Chiefs will retain the coach beyond this season.” On the condition of anonymity, he announced
HUNT AND CHIEFS SEEM TO BE PULLING IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS
It becomes clearer after that, and it connects to widespread rumors that the Chiefs’ management has been reluctant to completely support Hunt by committing to signing all of his goals. Hunt is also said to have expressed a willingness to release at least 15 members of the current crop in order to make room for an upgrade he believes is required ahead of next season.
Kaizer Motaung Senior, the club’s owner, has since spoken out to the media about how impractical it would be. That’s only one of the signs that the club’s management isn’t reassured by Hunt’s ambitions or long-term future with the Chiefs.
Hunt’s striker aim Ruzaigh Gamildien of Swallows FC, as well as Bafana Bafana international Buhle Mkhwanazi, were also confirmed to have failed to persuade Motaung. Hunt will undoubtedly be irritated by this, and it remains to be seen if he will consider working without complete influence, or whether he will be fired after only one season with the Glamour Boys.
