Manqoba Mngqithi has revealed the real reason George Maluleka hasn’t been playing at the club.
Speaking on the back of Sundowns’ 2-0 win over Orlando Pirates this past weekend, Mngqithi said Maluleka’s situation is not isolated.
In saying that, Mngqithi admitted that Maluleka isn’t the only player who hasn’t featured for Sundowns in recent months.
The 32-year-old midfielder could soon make his way back into the Sundowns team as he looks sharper after shedding weight.
However, Mngqithi warned that the Sundowns technical team will bring Maluleka back without tempering with the winning team.
“We have players who are outside that never played. George is one player that has done exceptionally well,” Mngqithi told reporters.
“If you can see him now, he has lost so much weight. He looks very sharp and we are eager to give him an opportunity at some point,” he continued.
“We must try and see what we can do without tampering with the winning combination,”added Mngqithi.
