The in-demand SuperSport United midfielder, Sipho Mbule had been previously strongly linked with a potential switch to Kaizer Chiefs or Mamelodi Sundowns during the offseason.

According to reports that were made earlier mentioned that Chiefs were said to be in a direct battle with SuperSport’s crosstown rivals Mamelodi Sundowns in an intense combat for Mbule’s signing with various reports over the last three months even going as far as stating that the Brazilians had stolen a march on the Glamour Boys and labelling them favourites to land his services.
However, all the rumours were later strongly refuted by Matsatsantsa spokesperson, David Sikhosane who rubbished the reports.
“The door is not closed for Mbule to move. The club has always been looking for an opportunity to sell him overseas,” the source tells Kickoff.com.
“The challenge is that they can’t keep him forever and if that overseas opportunity doesn’t materialise.
“Chances are high now that the club could be open to local offers, but it must be a very good offer.
“Sundowns have not hidden their admiration for the player.”
