After failed attempts from several clubs to lure him from Amiens SC, midfielder Bongani Zungu is back in France to honour his contract.
According to Courrier Picard, Zungu finally received his work permit, and he arrived in France on Tuesday.
However, Zungu will NOT immediately be available for selection for Amiens as he has to self-isolate for seven days.
Zungu had been unable to travel to France as he had not been issued a work permit, but the news of him acquiring one will come as a huge relief for Amiens.
Amiens had had to fend off interest from a number of clubs around the world, including Kaizer Chiefs and Mallorca.
However, they are still likely to lose Zungu at the end of the season with the midfielder reported to be not-so-keen to stay beyond the current campaign.
And that’s because he is in the final year of his contract with Amiens who put a R54 million price tag on his head for any team interested in him.
