Kambole was on the club’s transfer list at the end of last season, indicating that the Chiefs were willing to consider offers for him.
While there was rumored interest, particularly in Kambole, nothing came of it because he couldn’t leave before the transfer window closed on August 31.
Now, Chiefs have updated their first team squad for the season on their website, and both Kambole and Ntiya-Ntiya have been left out.
Interestingly though, their jersey numbers – No.7 for Kambole and No.36 for Ntiya-Ntiya – have not been allocated to anyone in the team.
What is unknown at this time is if the pair is registered with the PSL and will play for Chiefs this season.
If that is not the case, the two players are extremely likely to leave the Chiefs when the mid-season transfer market opens in January.
[the_ad id=”2176″]If the Chiefs opt to part ways amicably with both Kambole and Ntiya-Ntiya now, the duo will have to wait until the next transfer market opens before returning to football.
This is due to FIFA rules prohibiting players who were not free agents when the previous transfer window ended from signing with any team outside of the transfer window.
