Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly have confirmed the sensational transfer of Bafana Bafana international Percy Tau from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Al Ahly announced the signing of Tau today, after agreeing to a fee of around €1.8 million to be paid in instalments with the Premier League side.
Tau joined Brighton for €3.2 million from Mamelodi Sundowns in 2018. However, due to the league’s restrictions for foreign players he had to go out on the loan several times before finally receiving his work permit in January.
However, he only made three Premier League appearances for the Seagulls since his return and was understood not to be guaranteed game time in 2021/22.
