Defending MTN8 champions Orlando Pirates failed to defend their crown after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Swallows FC on Saturday evening.
Orlando Pirates were hoping to defend their title but it didn’t happen as they were wishing .They’ll take their eyes to the league.
Orlando Pirates were not with their key players like
Innocent Maela, Paseka Mako, Tshegofatso Mabasa, Thembinkosi Lorch and Zakhele Lepasa, with Vincent Pule, Bongani Sam, Abel Mabaso, Kabelo Dlamini and Tebogo Tlolane given starts.
With Thembinkosi Lorch missing due to injury and some on loan spell.
Swallows took the lead on the 16rd minute with a freekick after a Fortune Makaringe Foul. Gamildien took it to the net . Gamildien scored another on the 23rd minute.
Pirates were awarded a penalty kick which was scored by Kabelo Dlamini.
