Attacker Khama Billiat has confidently declared that Kaizer Chiefs will end their trophy drought by finally lifting silverware this season.
Billiat is happy with the new signings and believes this is their season for bringing silverware.
Billiat hasn’t won anything with Glamour Boys and is hoping for something. Winning Carling’s black label seemed like a motivation. Baxter joining the club who is known for winning trophies. Billiat has no doubt that they’ll get something.
“It will be a different season for the AmaKhosi family because we are going all out for everything, and we promise to give them everything that we have in our system,” Billiat said.
This season is one for bringing the trophies home. This season is for us. It’s so refreshing to have the new guys, the energy is different. We are in a very good space. I think this is good for us and we need to start very strong,” Billiat added.
“We know that Sundowns are not an easy side to play against, so we are trying by every means to get everything that we must get from the coaches right before the weekend.
“I strongly believe we are feeling good and working towards the right goal. It is just interesting coming to training every day and we are seeing a lot of smiles with the guys looking sharp as well.
“Coming to a big club like this you want to be part of the good history and seeing yourself on the wall with pictures celebrating which is what every player would want.
“I am here and I still believe there are a lot of trophies that we can still go for and we are in the right space. It is looking good, and we are still very hungry and this is a chance for us to start very strong in the MTN, push ourselves and see if we are really ready for the season. But we are looking good and hopefully, we will be sharper on the weekend,” says Billiat.
The 30-year-old was attacked by injuries last season declared that this is he is feeling good and fresh and ready to make something good for their fans in the upcoming season.
