Kaizer Chiefs fans will have to wait for at least four months before watching the famous ‘CBD’ playing together on the pitch.
And that’s because Leonardo Castro is out injured with Stuart Baxter confirming that the striker will be out for up to 16 weeks.
The ‘CBD’ reunited this week following the arrival of Keagan Dolly, who found both Castro and Khama Billiat at Chiefs.
The trio took the PSL by storm while playing for the Mamelodi Sundowns some five years ago, and Dolly’s arrival is expected to spark the other two members of the CBD to life.
“In attack, we have options there. We have Leo Castro who’s probably going to be out for another 16 weeks, and Lebo Manyama is coming back,” Baxter told the media.
Samir Nurkovic is slowly coming back from a knee injury, and Baxter expects his frontline to be stronger once Castro is back to his fitness.
“Samir… we are hoping is going to be a clean bill of health now to kick on,” he said.
