The SuperSport United coach Kaitano Tembo appears to have given up hope of keeping his star player Sipho Mbule at the club.

SuperSport United coach Kaitano Tembo is not ruling out the prospect of losing midfielder Sipho Mbule. He has been linked with several traditional Premier Soccer League powers.

Mbule’s agent, Mike Makaab, revealed the player’s interest in Kaizer Chiefs earlier this month.

Mamelodi Sundowns, SuperSport’s Tshwane rivals, are also said to be interested in bringing the star to Chloorkop.

Tembo stated that it is out of his hands to keep Mbule, and he appears to have accepted the sad possibility of losing his top midfielder.

“I would like Sipho to stay, but it is not in my power. According to Sowetan Live, Tembo stated, “I cannot rule out his departure.”

“We will promote a couple of youngsters and get two or three experienced players, depending on the budget. Injuries were our major problem last season. We reported for camp two weeks ago and I have a feeling that we will do well next season.”

Mbule progressed through the SuperSport junior system and has spent his whole professional career with the club.

SuperSport have already lost Grant Kekana to Sundowns. Evans Rusike and Lucky Mohomi have left the club.

Orlando Pirates were said to be interested in signing striker Bradley Grobler. The Matsatsantsa stepped in to sign him to a new deal.

While Tembo is concerned about losing Mbule.

There were also rumours that the Zimbabwean-born coach’s career was in jeopardy after SuperSport placed fifth in the PSL rankings last season.

However, the team appears to have retained trust in its former defender.

“We aim to outperform ourselves from last season,” Tembo continued.

“I wish I could go on a signing spree, but we have a restricted budget, and because of our budget cuts, we cannot go crazy in the market like the other clubs.” “We will add a few players, but I have to focus on what we have.” I believe in enabling young players to play.”
