A source close to Amakhosi said the team has used the attention put on their Champions League campaign to work on their signings in peace.

“This is the first preseason in which people are not obsessed with club concerns other than their interest in the final preparations. This has allowed them to concentrate on their signings in peace.

“I’ve heard they’ve signed a major name, which they’ll reveal next week after the Champions League issues are resolved. I believe they have signed a big-name star who will thrill the fans. I don’t know his name yet, but I’ve heard things are virtually done with him,” the insider added.

Chiefs have been connected with Thabo Nodada of Cape Town City, who has also expressed a desire to push himself outside of Cape Town.

Keagan Dolly, a former Mamelodi Sundowns player, has also been discussed, and Chiefs may complete the “CBD” trio during their time at Mamelodi Sundowns if they sign Dolly. They already have Leonardo Castro and Khama Billiat, who has expressed an interest in staying on despite his contract expiring soon.

Tanzanian striker Ismail Aziz Kada is expected to be in the nation this week. According to our sources, and the Chiefs are one of the teams interested in signing him.

According to this publication, Kada is being pursued by three DStv Premiership clubs after impressing them with his goal-scoring ability.

Amakhosi are believed to be ready to assess the striker despite the other two teams have yet to be announced. This season, Kada has been playing football for Azam FC.

The report also claims that the Chiefs’ scouting team had been watching Ismail Aziz Kada. Chiefs were pleased with his performance. He can also play in the middle of the field.
