Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are in talks about a swap deal which would see Antoine Griezmann and Saul Niguez switching clubs. The story began with Cope stating that the two teams were “extremely close” to agreeing on a trade. Griezmann is said to be on holiday in Ibiza with Koke. He waiting for a call from Atletico, while Saul is said to be eager to join the Catalan club.

Antoine Griezmann (born March 21, 1991) is a French professional footballer. He is currently plays as a striker for Barcelona and the France national team.
a completed deal means Griezmann would return to Atletico after moving to Barcelona in a €120million deal two years ago.
Barcelona believe Griezmann is worth more than Saul. They are asking for €15m as part of the deal or more players such as Renan Lodi or Mario Hermoso.
Atletico are prepared to let Saul leave this summer after eight seasons at the club, while Barca are willing to let Griezmann leave because they need to cut their wage bill.
At this moment, it’s unclear if Griezmann will receive a single exchange, two moves (similar to Pjanic and Arthur last year), or Saul and another player. There will undoubtedly be more rumors in the future.
Griezmann’s exit looks to be required for Barcelona to reduce their wage bill, while Ronald Koeman has been connected with another midfielder after failing to sign Georginio Wijnaldum, which appears to be where Saul comes in.
