Jadon Sancho transfer: Borussia Dortmund winger having Manchester United medical ahead of £73m move.
Man United will pay Borussia Dortmund £73 million for Jadon Sancho, who has already accepted personal terms. Sancho, along with soon-to-be clubmate Marcus Rashford and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, missed a penalty in England’s shootout loss to Italy at Wembley on Sunday.
Jadon Sancho will have a medical with Manchester United on Tuesday before completing his £73 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho has already agreed to personal terms with the Old Trafford club. With the new Premier League season less than a month away. The former Manchester City youth-team star is likely to go on vacation once the legalities are done.
He was one of three England players to miss penalties in Sunday’s Euro 2020 final shootout loss to Italy at Wembley. Along soon-to-be clubmate Marcus Rashford and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka.
Dortmund’s asking price at the start of the window was more than £85 million, and the agreement is also £35 million less than the £108 million value last summer.
Sancho swiftly established himself as a key player at Dortmund, and has scored 50 goals in 137 appearances for the German club.
One may argue that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad has more pressing needs elsewhere. Many supporters may favor a center defender. But in recent years, Sancho has developed as one of the world’s most intriguing young players, and it’s clear to see why United are so keen to land him.
Manchester United captain Maguire hails Sancho as an “amazing talent” and exciting period for the club.
“Jadon is a fantastic player, exceptional potential, a young guy with a lot of experience,” Maguire stated before of England’s Euro 2020 semi-final triumph over Denmark.
“What he has done in Germany speaks for itself in terms of statistics.” He’s a fantastic player.
I don’t believe it’s been finalized yet.
“We are unable to proclaim him a Manchester United player;
I know it’s near, but he’s still a Dortmund player for the time being.”
“Of course, it is exciting times ahead and hopefully we will get it across the line.”
Raphael Varane has agreed to meet with Manchester United. Whom they are negotiating personal terms ahead of a possible move from Real Madrid.
Raphael Varane is one of the centre-backs Manchester United is interested in signing this summer. Paris Saint-Germain is also in talks with Real Madrid over a move for the France international. The 28-year-old’s Real Madrid contract expires in a year and he is free to sign a pre-contract deal in January.
