According to a source, the club is concerned about the position since they hold it in high respect. With Siphelele Ntshangase having failed to secure number 10 at the club and been released, Kaizer Chiefs are reported to be searching for number 10, which be a perfect candidate for the jersey.

According to a source, the club is concerned about the position since they hold it in high respect. “Even the No. 10 shirt is held in high regard among the club. They don’t hand it out to anyone. Ntshangase was well regarded when he first arrived, which is why he was given the number. Now that he’s gone, the club is still seeking for someone to fill his shoes.

“It’s not only about carrying the number in the back; it’s also about carrying the team on the field. Khanyisa Mayo was considered, but he is still young and has not been tested at the highest level. “(Nkosingiphile) Ngcobo has been considered, but they don’t want to put additional pressure on him,” the person added.

Phakaaathi has learned that the Chiefs’ possibilities include former players Pule Ekstein and Keagan Buchanan. Ekstein left the Chiefs three years ago for an overseas move after failing to reach an agreement on a new contract.

Buchanan’s time at Naturena was cut short due to injury, but he showed himself again at Maritzburg United and might return to Naturena, where he believes he has much to prove.

As previously reported, Sekhukhune United, a newly promoted DStv Premiership team, has opted against signing former Chiefs player Siphelele “Stash” Ntshangase.

According to a source close to the Limpopo-based club, Ntshangase was one of a handful of players asked to practice with the club ahead of the new season so that the technical team could take a closer look. “He’d been there since they opened on Monday.

But I don’t believe he impressed them since I heard they informed him he couldn’t practice with them anymore. He didn’t show up for Thursday’s practice, and I heard he went home,” a source claimed.

Chiefs are still searching for number 10 we can confirm.
