Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Junior Khanye has given his opinion on Amakhosi’s reported transfer targets Siyethemba Sithebe and Sipho Mbule.

Both players have been closely linked with the Glamour Boys even though it remains to be seen whether either will land at Naturena.

Khanye has questioned the potential arrival of Sithebe, who has featured in 20 games for Usuthu this season.

“I heard rumours of Sithebe to Kaizer Chiefs. What has he done for AmaZulu,” he told iDiski Times.

“What has he done to be bought, not even as a free agent. What has he done? What impact is he going to bring at Kaizer Chiefs?

Meanwhile, Khanye raved about the quality of SuperSport United’s Mbule, saying he’d be a signing who would excite him.

“What a player, me I like boys who are proper developed. Whoever developed that boy has done well. He was born to play football, he breathes football.

“He’s arrogant on the ball, very clever, skilful, can score goals. Technically he’s good. He plays with both feet. I don’t understand why Hugo Broos is not playing his for Bafana Bafana.

“Mbule, if Chiefs can buy him, wow. And then you get a defensive midfielder like [Teboho] Mokoena. Even if they bring him in alone, he’s going to change.

“He’s a star player, if they sign him, I can be excited.”
