USUTHU TO BUST OUT 10 NEW SIGNINGS!

AmaZulu FC president Sandile Zungu has revealed that the club are working overtime acquiring reinforcements ahead of their upcoming historic campaign.

Benni McCarthy’s AmaZulu side will be competing in the CAF Champions League for the first time in their existence. The club are going all out to make sure they’re adequately prepared.

Sandile Zungu has confirmed that the club will announce no less than 10 players ahead of the 2021/2022 campaign.

“Definitely, we are working not only on strengthening the squad. We are also creating requisite balance, given the demands of the coming season,” AmaZulu president Sandile Zungu told Kick-off.

“We will be revealing the players that we’ve signed but also talk about players that we’ve released. That will be on the 5th of August – we will make all the plans public.

“We can’t reveal names right now. We’ve got a couple that we have signed from outside, and we’ve got a couple that we have promoted from the junior ranks, and also those that have returned from loan. So, I think we’re talking about 10 players.”

AmaZulu entered last season as one of the relegation candidates however Benni McCarthy’s arrival at the club sparked a massive upturn in events in KwaZulu-Natal.

Benni McCarthy’s side finished in second place during the 2020/2021 DStv Premiership campaign and will subsequently represent the country alongside League champions Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League.
