Pitso Mosimane, former Mamelodi Sundowns head coach, believes Sundowns will win the league at the cost of both the Kaizer Chiefs and the Orlando Pirates. Pitso Mosimane feels Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates have under-bolstered their squads in order to compete with Mamelodi Sundowns.

Kaizer Chiefs welcomed seven new players to the club yesterday, while Orlando Pirates revealed four new signings.

  1. Brandon Peterson
  2. Sifiso Hlanti
  3. Phathutshedzo Nange
  4. Njabulo Ngcobo
  5. Sibusiso Mabiliso
  6. Kgaogelo Sekgota

Orlando Pirates on the other hand welcomed Goodman Mosele, Monnapule Saleng, Bandile Shandu, and Kwanda Mngonyama to the club ahead of the new season.

Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates have failed in their transfer business – Mosimane

Pitso Mosimane feels Mamelodi Sundowns are on course to win yet another league title, owing to the quality gap between them and their opponents.

“I believe they Mamelodi Sundowns will win it [the league title] again this year because I am looking at the competition. I am looking at the direct competition (Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs). I say ‘maybe the personnel that has been gathered even now is not strong enough to win the league’. You must sign the right players, it’s important,’’ – Pitso Mosimane said as quoted by Sowetan.

Mosimane continued and said

“I made sure that the team must win the DStv Premiership for the next four years and there’s no doubt. I jumped from Sundowns because I knew the Premiership was sorted. Let’s be honest, I mean really? Any coach should be able to win the title with a team like Sundowns. Remember, I reinforced the team,”

Mamelodi Sundowns themselves have announced the signings of

  1. Pavol Safranko
  2. Neo Maema
  3. Grant Kekana
  4. Divine Lunga

The current Al Ahly head coach faces off against Kaizer Chiefs next weekend in the CAF Champions League final.
